By the end of this tutorial, you should be ready to create your one-product funnel in ClickFunnels.

The steps are easy to follow, and you can even build your funnel for free.

What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels is a website builder, but it is not your ordinary website builder.

The whole system is focused on making sales, and what you are building here is not a typical blog.

Instead, you are building a sales funnel. A sales funnel is a sequence of webpages that start with a landing page.

Its primary purpose is to turn cold traffic into paying customers.

With ClickFunnels, you can build:

  • Landing pages – this is a long page that contains your product details, testimonials, demo videos, and more.
  • Squeeze pages – this is a page where you get the customer’s email address; you can also put the email capture form on the landing page if you do not want it separate from your landing page.
  • Checkout systems – just select from several payment methods so you receive the payment of your customers; there is no need to code to integrate your payment systems.
  • “Thank you” pages – after paying, you can take your customer to a page that thanks them for buying.
  • Autoresponders – you can program an email autoresponder to send the customer details of the purchase.

As you can see, this is different from your typical website. A website is nothing more than a brochure of blogs and products.

ClickFunnels, however, arms you with tools that convince a site visitor to buy your product.

You no longer have to code, plus you do not have to go through the headache of integrating different apps and software programs to your online store.

It is a stand-alone website builder that has everything that you need to make a sale.

Steps to build your eCommerce funnel

Now, it is time to build your funnel. I will walk you through a tutorial so you can prepare your materials.

  • Start with the script – the first step to building a funnel is with a script. Your script must have a headline. Ideally, you have to start your script with a problem. This problem is what is going to catch your customer’s attention.

The script must also have a list of the headaches of the target consumer, and you must present ow your product is the solution.

You may need the services of an affordable copywriter to do this.

The script is your sales pitch. It is the text that explains to a consumer why he needs your product, what your product can do, and why you are different from your competitors.

  • Create a video demo – you have to create a simple video demo of how your product is used. This demo is what is going to make the customer stay on your site. Use the video to convince your customer to buy your product.

It may sound intimidating at first, but making a video is really simple. Just get started and you will eventually refine your video editing skills. A video is an important component of the sales funnel. Without it, your customer may bounce from your landing page.

  • Get testimonials – testimonials are hard to come by. This is so true if you are only about to launch your business.

What you can do is to send your product to some influencers. They can write a review about your product, and you can use that review on your landing page. You can also ask them to create a video testimonial for you.

Take note that influencers are not free. They will ask you for a free product or for a fee. The cost of the fee is not known as it varies from one influencer to another.

  • Build your landing page – once you have the script, the next step is to put them on your landing page. If you have no experience creating a landing page, what I suggest is that you use the free templates. Just edit the words and then you will have one ready.

The landing page must have your testimonials, your value proposition, your problem statement, your solution, and so on. Make sure that it takes the site visitor through your entire sales pitch.

  • Build the autoresponder system – the autoresponder system is something that you need to integrate. For example, you can integrate MailChimp or GetResponse. Here, you need to compose a message that will automatically get sent out to your subscribers. You can also create a sequence of emails that your subscribers will receive after they have subscribed.

If you do not have an autoresponder system, you can use the default for ClickFunnels. You can also register for free ones like MailChimp.

  • Build the squeeze page or email capture page – the squeeze page is where you convince your site visitor to give you his email address. In exchange, you have to offer something that the customer cannot refuse. This is called the lead magnet. A lead magnet is usually a free offer that the customer can download in exchange for this email address.

Here are some examples of lead magnets:

      • Free course
      • Free eBook
      • Free membership
      • Free checklists

The most common lead magnet is an eBook because it has real value. If you want, you can ask an affordable copywriter to write the eBook for you.

A squeeze page is optional. You can add your email capture form inside then landing page, or you can create a separate one.

  • Create an upsell process – the last step is to create an upsell. You can choose this block or page from your ClickFunnels system, and simply enter the details of your upsell, such as the photo of the product, the name, and the price.

These are the steps on how to how to use ClickFunnels for ecommerce.

It is up to you to remove some of the elements that I have mentioned.

For example, you can remove the squeeze page if you do not like to do that, or you can also remove the upsell process if you do not have an extra product to sell.

Tips to market your ClickFunnels eCommerce website

Now that you have built your funnel, the next step is to create a marketing plan.

What you need is traffic, and you want people to come to your funnel—the more people, the better.

Here are some of the best marketing techniques that you can explore:

  • YouTube – one of the best ways to market your ecommerce store is via YouTube. What you want is to create video tutorials for your product, so people can see how it is used and what the benefits are.
  • Social Media – if you want a free method to advertise, use social media; what you have to do is to build pages for your social media account. Post regularly and build your audience. Make sure that the URL of your website is visible so they can check it out anytime.
  • Paid Ads – the next option is to use paid ads. You can use Facebook, Instagram or Google to launch ads. Do not expect paid ads to bring a miraculous number of sales. Paid ads work but they rarely go viral. Do a split test of two ad versions. Spend a little amount on each, and then see which one is performing better. Once you have a winning ad, you can scale it and spend more.
  • Solo Deals – this is an email marketing strategy where you send your ad to someone’s email list. The typical cost of each email is $0.50, and you can find sellers of this service in websites like Udimi.

Choose one or two methods and dig deeper how to make it work.

Plan your marketing strategy, and then prepare your materials.

Make sure that you master the traffic method before moving on to the next.
